We make investing in startups easy for you. Just browse startups, select the number of shares you’d like to buy, and grab a slice.
Any user can easily invest as little as $100 at the tap of a button from anywhere, anytime.
Given lower minimums, you can diversify your investment instead putting all of their eggs into one basket.
Slice uses special purpose LLC’s to group smaller investors so that startups' cap tables aren't cluttered.
Who can invest?
Anyone over 18 can invest (unaccredited or accredited). For Reg A+, unaccredited investors can invest a maximum of 10% of their annual income or 10% of their net worth per year (whichever is greater) and there are no restrictions for accredited investors.
How do investors pay?
ACH (secure electronic transfer on our app) or wire transfer (international investors can only do wire transfer if the company allows international investment).
When can I invest?
As soon as a company's offering has been qualified by the SEC and moves ahead with the offering, the company moves into the live offering phase which is when investors can purchase shares.
Are there costs to investing?
There are no costs to the investor; all you pay is the investment amount. If you've deposited money into escrow to purchase offered securities and the offering has been cancelled, the money in the account is returned to you.
How can I sell my shares?
Once an offering has successfully closed, investors will be introduced to the company’s selected transfer agent who will be responsible for the transfer of the shares after the close; Slice is not associated with this step.
What happens if the company doesn't reach its minimum investment?
All investments are refunded.
